Questions about official Chatham County criminal records belong with the public office that keeps the source document. This private reference site cannot retrieve or change a record. Use the contacts below to route a court file, booking entry, police report, state history, or record-restriction matter to its actual custodian.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept record-restriction filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Chatham County records are divided among these official custodians:

  • Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Chatham County sheriff's records unit
  • Official background checks: order through the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC)
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
  • Record restriction and court sealing: follow the GBI process and contact the prosecutor or court that handled the case

For sheriff-held records, contact the Chatham County Sheriff's Office, 1050 Carl Griffin Drive, Savannah, GA 31405.
